Kicking fat people off the plane.?
Director Kevin Smith Kicked Off Plane for Being Too Fat Us Magazine - February 14, 2010 10:58 PM PST * o celebs: o Bruce Willis o Richard Simmons So much for flying the friendly skies. Mall rats director Kevin Smith, 39, was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight from Oakland, Calif. to Burbank, Calif. over the weekend because of his weight. How can we get this stopped? Fattie is no less safe than a person in a wheel chair or a body cast. A few seats that aren't crammed close together for the Airlines financial reasons. Also remember no matter what you've heard getting thin is not as simple as you might suppose. Fair access to all!

Yeah! Fat people have feelings too! They're just softer and heavier than normal people! I think I'll start a petition for fat people's rights.

We are in a state of economic crisis. One fat person on a plane burns about 300 extra gallons of jet fuel in one day!!!!!! AND IT RAISES AIRLINE PRICES! Why should I pay for fattys mistake? I SAY GET EM OFF THE PLANE FOR GOOD!

Getting thin is simple. Just not easy. Last year I lost 40 pounds. All you have to do is stay hungry for 2 months. Simple to me.

Hey! I'm not fat, I'm just big boned!

These people shouldn't be in business or have a job

I have a feeling that this may have been some kind of poor publicity stunt by Southwest. Considering he was seated with both armrests down he was not violating any safety policy. The only other possibility I can think of would be that a passenger sitting next to him complained.

I'm not kidding when I tell you that, an airline attendant said to passengers on the intercom that Southwest only offers peanuts and little drinks because it is a cheap airline for people like it's passengers who don't have money anyway and couldn't afford to complain. Yes, she really said it and had the audacity to chuckle over it. I could recount so many negative experiences with Southwest over the 2 years I flew each week with them, but it would be so ridiculous that I wouldn't be believed. Well, I like the low fares, it's true, but kicking a passenger off a plane due to his size and weight...come on! If they shift the cargo to distribute the weight...but time is money and fat people apparently don't have feelings or rights that matter to Southwest. What the real load is, is people who discriminate against heavy people. My daughter is heavy, though she was a skinny gorgeous teen until she reached 17 and had 4 heart surgeries. When your heart doesn't work properly it severely impedes your ability to excersize or even get up out of a chair. It wasn't the food she ate or laziness that cause the nerves in her heart to malfunction. So for those who are so thoughtless as to say fat people should be banned...watch out...your health could become an issue and you may end up fat yourself and then you'll be singing a different tune.

His Sense Of Humour Remained Intact That Is The Most Important Thing From The Article: After landing in Burbank, Smith wrote, "Don't worry: wall of the plane was opened & I was airlifted out while Richard Simmons supervised."
