I have no clue how to find flights and my mom just called me at the last minute telling me to hurry up and find round-trip flight tickets from Oakland California to LAX in LA please help me

Look in your local telephone directory. Call a well known Travel Agency like Marlin , Carlson Wagonlit, Sears Travel etc. A good agent will guide you through the process. Their wealth of knowledge and experience will serve you well. Booking on the internet can be risky. Especially if you've never used the net to book. Let a Travel Agent guide you. Ask your Friends and Family for a recommendation. I have a background in the Travel Industry myself but still trust the expertise of a good Agent. She is my vital Ally and lifelong travel planning partner. An internet site can't always offer me the best deal, anyway. The human factor can not be replaced.

You don't need a travel agent for Oakland to LAX--that's a simple roundtrip air ticket. Go to http://www.kayak.com enter from OAK to LAX and the travel dates. It will give you the cheapest options and walk you through the booking. If you have a credit card, it's very easy to do, just be sure to read the terms and conditions so you understand that cheapest flights usually can't be changed or cancelled without a $100 or $200 fee.
