Will I make my flight?
I am leaving USC tomorrow at 1:50 p.m. on a Primetime Shuttle. It says it will get me to LAX around 3 and my flight is at 3:45. I am flying Southwest Airlines direct to Oakland. Typically, the shuttle gets me there earlier than anticipated (and I am banking on that happening again tomorrow) but I'm still freaking out about how long security will take. Let's say I get to LAX at 2:30, is that still enough time? Normally I'm through security in 10 minutes tops but I realize tomorrow is a very busy travel day. How long do you see security taking? Anyone know Southwest's policy on missed flights just in case I don't make it? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

well you are *suppose* to be at airport 2 hours before your flight due to this week being thanksgiving and terminal being one of the busiest you might end missing your flight if you miss the flight i belive they will let standby for the next flight

You are really pushing the envelope. On a good day you have little cushion and with the Holiday and the protest your travel is in jeopardy. Can you move to a later flight?

I don't want to freak you out or anything but The LA airport is one of the busiest in the country and due to the fact that it's thanksgiving weekend I would probably get there three hours before my flight just to be safe. There is no telling whether you will be there on time or not but I think that you will probably miss it

agree with IZZY come to the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure or even earlier.
