Cheapest way to Japan this August?
I live near LAX airport, have a free ticket on Southwest (which could get me to airports in Hawaii) and can also fly out of Oakland or SFO if needed. I'm looking for the cheapest way to get to Japan this August for a trip. Ideally, I'd like to stay over in Hawaii for a few days (especially since I can get that leg of the trip for free). Any hints for cheap flights from Hawaii to Japan?

Perhaps do an online search for airports out of Hawaii to whatever international airport you want to go to in Japan. When I went there I saw quite a few Japanese people and the airports had English and Japanese over the loud speaker. I remember there being at least one Japanese airline at the airports we went to (I was in 2 in Hawaii). I would check Japanese holidays in August as well. That could affect the price of your ticket.

i think that there is only a slightest chance that you could find a cheap airfare to japan since its holiday there (obon yasumi) during august. anyway goodluck and make reservations as early as possible! (",)
