Is it too soon to book airfare for a Thanksgiving trip?
I want to fly Oakland, CA - Austin, TX on 11/24 returning 11/27. I don't usually travel at Thanksgiving. When do flights start getting full? Anyone have any tips?

The sooner you book, the better. That is the heaviest travel time of the year, so flights will book up sooner than usual, and discount offers often have blackout dates during that peak travel period, so expect to pay a premium fare.

well you can always do last minute booking which could be cheaper. just keep looking everyday at different flight centers on line. that is what i do and when i gets to a good price i book. or you could just ask a flight center associate what to do.
